Kevin is an artist and activist living in Northeast Minneapolis.
Kevin’s work fuses his interest in social justice with his love art and of creating . When not painting, sculpting, illustrating, or writing, Kevin spends his time organizing, reading, playing pick-up sports, and raising two rambunctious and creative children.

Growing up in North Dakota, I learned to love the beauty and mystery of the natural world, and humanity’s place within it. This, combined with the bevy of films I watched, the ton of books I read, and the way, way too many comics I devoured, instilled a love of art both made by people and nature. While I always loved art, I had never considered it something I would do or focus my life on, and when I moved to Minneapolis for college I decided that my time would be best spent on political and organizing work.

Fast forward through a decade plus of organizing, political work, and various odd jobs, and when covid struck I realized that it was time to pursue those original loves I had neglected; creating art and telling stories. Since 2020 I have taught myself various types of skills and concepts in art, and am overjoyed to be working on art as a major focus of my life.
